BodyTite

BodyTite Liposuction Little Rock

BodyTite is a minimally invasive procedure that reduces fat and tightens the skin in the treatment area, all without having to go under the knife! By using radio-frequency assisted lipoplasty technology that heats fat and stimulates collagen growth in the fibers that connect your skin and tissue, we are able to provide surgical-like results in the contouring of those stubborn areas of excess fat and skin.

BodyTite does not replace traditional surgical body contouring, but it does give patients a minimally invasive alternative which provides good results and no scarring, quick recovery and minimal discomfort. Dr. David Bauer at Arkansas Plastic Surgery is specially trained in this revolutionary technology and will ensure that you have a safe and quick recovery. Frequently Asked Questions about BodyTite

What areas can be treated with BodyTite?

BodyTite is most commonly used to treat the abdomen, thighs, hips, breasts, back rolls, arms, face, neck, jawline, and many other areas of fat deposits and loose skin. More than one area can be treated in just one simple visit and can also be done in conjunction with other treatments.

Am I a candidate for BodyTite?

A good candidate for the BodyTite treatment is a generally healthy person with some frustrating areas of excess fat and skin that they would like reduced. The ideal candidate will also have mild to moderate skin laxity and realistic expectations of what the treatment can achieve for their goals.

How does BodyTite work?

BodyTite uses radio frequency energy to create heat which leads to coagulation of fat, and contraction of skin and underlying connective tissue.  During the procedure, a narrow probe will be inserted through a needle hole in your skin. The radiofrequency energy is then passed between electrodes, heating the tissue and melting away some of the fat layer and causing skin contraction.  It also stimulates collagen formation in the deep tissue which leads to tighter, healthier skin.  BodyTite/FaceTite is minimally invasive and can be performed under local anesthesia, light sedation or general anesthesia, depending on the size and number of areas treated.

How quickly will I see results?

In many cases, the results are seen almost immediately. However, as the skin and the subcutaneous fibers contract over the next year, your results will continue to look better and better (especially starting at three months).

How long is the recovery time of BodyTite?

After the BodyTite procedure is complete, you are able to go home that day. Every patient’s recovery is different depending on the size and location of the treatment area, but in many cases, you may resume your normal routine quickly. You might experience some minor numbness, swelling, or bruising, and any downtime will be less than a week. Most patients can return to work in 2-3 days and resume light exercise in 2 weeks.  Most procedures require a compression garment to be worn for 1-3 weeks, as liposuction is often a part of the procedure.

Does BodyTite hurt?

BodyTite can be performed with minimal discomfort using local anesthesia with the addition of oral pain medication.  If multiple areas are treated, IV sedation or general anesthesia may be more comfortable.  Postoperative pain is minimal and easily managed with oral pain medication for the first 1-2 days.

How long do the results last?

If you maintain your health and weight, you can expect results to last up to five years. However, it does not stop the effects of age and gravity.

Is it safe?

Yes, BodyTite is safe. Due to it being a minimally invasive procedure, many of the risks associated with traditional surgery are eliminated. There are several built-in safety features in the BodyTite machine which allow Dr. Bauer to closely monitor the heat and minimize the risk of complication.
